LG 2012 HDTV Lineup
LG unveiled and announced a vast number of exciting new HDTVs at the beginning of the year, both at CES 2012 and before.
We have covered a number of their exciting new HDTVs in detail such as their 55-inch OLED HDTV, and 84-inch LED 4K HDTV, and a number of models that were leaked before CES from winning a CES design award!
But through the mountain of press releases we never brought you our run down of the LG 2012 HDTV Lineup as we have done with the other major HDTV players.
We have detailed articles written about a number of the HDTVs, so be sure to click on their headings for more details.
LG released a number of show stopping HDTVs this year, and the LG 55EM9600 (LG 55EM960V in the UK) was probably the biggest show stopper of the year at CES. The 4mm thin 55-inch OLED HDTV has a Full HD resolution, and 3D using FPR 3D technology. This HDTV works by having a color filter, in front of over 8 million white OLED pixels. This gives super high image quality and richer colors and higher efficiency.
The LG 84LM9600 is an impressive HDTV for a number of reasons beyond its sheer size at 84-inches. The LG 84LM9600 is the largest consumer HDTV available, but it’s more than just a huge HDTV, it is also the first to offer a 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels, rather than 1920 x 1080), and with this high resolution it enables passive 3D viewing with full HD vertical 1080p resolution.
LG new 84″ LED LCD (84LM9600) breaks new ground in a number of ways. It is the largest consumer HDTV flat panel over offered, it is the first with 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 and the first passive 3D TV to offer full HD vertical 1080p resolution, as all previous passive 3D models provide one-half (540 lines) vertical resolution when viewing in 3D mode. The LM9600 is an edge lit LED LCD HDTV.
The LMG620 is a Google TV, and features a 1080p HD LCD panel, with 120Hz edge lit LEDs, and of course runs Google TV apps and Internet browser. It comes with the LG Magic Motion remote control, and should be available Q1 2012 as the LG 47LMG620 and 55-inch 55LMG620 .
The LG LMG860 features a Cinema Screen design, with scanner LEDs for reduced motion blur and image judder. These will be available Q2 as the 47-inch 47LMG860, and 55-inch 55LMG860.
3D Smart TVs with Cinema Screen Design
