LG Curved OLED TV Available in U.S

I’m sure you all remember the curved OLED TV that LG were showing off at CES 2013?

Well if you have been following it closely, you will have noticed that a couple of months ago it started shipping out in Korea. But today it’s big news for us as the 55-inch curved OLED TV the LG EA9800 has now made its way over the the U.S.

It was launched at a Best Buy store in Richfield, Minnesota for $14,999. It will be making its way select Best Buys in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle and San Antonio over the next few weeks. I’m sure we will also be making our way over the LA to film this beautiful TV for you again.

It’s interesting how this curved OLED TV has become the first OLED TV that LG has launched in the U.S. Especially as LG was claiming that it was merely a prototype model at CES, as you can see in our video here. Also, they have launched the standard “flat” OLED TV in England (which we also filmed).

The LG curved OLED (LG EA9800) makes use of a WRGB four color pixel system with a white sub pixel for extremely impressive contrast ratios, deep blacks, and vibrant colors.

In other related news, Samsung have also released their first OLED TV in the U.S, also a 55-inch Curved OLED TV.

Be sure to watch my video below to see the curved OLED TVs filmed at CES 2013.
