Just moments after Samsung announced their “Bendable UHD TV” at their press conference at CES 2014, I get press release sent to me email from LG announcing their “worlds first flexible OLED TV”!
We can only assume that LG were hoping to take the wraps off of their flexible / bendable TV tomorrow on the CES 2014 showroom floor, as they didn’t announce it at their press conference early today.
So both Samsung and LG have flexible / bendable TVs, but while Samsung’s is 85-inches LCD and 4K, LG’s is 77-inches, but makes use of the more superior OLED technology.
“LG’s Flexible OLED TV is a product that has to be seen to be believed because it defies description,” said Hyun-hwoi Ha President and CEO of LG’s Home Entertainment Company. “What curved is to flat, flexible is to curved. LG continues to lead the evolution of televisions into the next generation.”
The 77-inch OLED flexible / bendable TV can go from flat to curved with a press of a button on the remote control.
So if you can’t decide between buying a flat or a curved OLED TV, now, well, you don’t have to! As you can have both in one TV.
To s this is the most impressive TV that we’re excited to see at it is OLED, 4K (UHD) and also flexible!
We can’t wait to see the LG flexible TV in person tomorrow where we will film it for you guys. We will update this post shortly!
