LG TM2792 Personal Smart TV

With what could be the start of a new sector of HDTVs, the LG TM2792 “Personal Smart TV” has just been announced by LG as part of their IFA lineup of new products.

With IFA kicking off in a matter of days in Berlin and a whole range of exciting new products about to be unveiled it’s not unusual to see a number of products leak early.

The LG TM2792 is a 27-Inch Smart HDTV with a Full HD 1080p resolution which is LED backlit and uses a high quality IPS LCD panel for vibrant colors and better video quality.

The TM2792 has a beautiful clean CINEMA SCREEN Design, which minimizes annoying distractions and leads to a very sleek design. At just 27-Inches in size, LG are very much promoting this as a bedroom, kitchen, door or quite simply a “Personal TV”.

While the LG TM2792 certainly is small for todays standard (and that’s the point) it certainly isn’t lacking any features or technology and features the same advanced Smart TV features found in their larges high end 2012 Smart HDTVs.

As well as providing advanced Smart TV functions giving app support and a whole selection of online video streaming and web browsing, the LG TM2792 is also an advanced 3D HDTV with all the 3D functions of its bigger brothers. Its Cinema 3D technology works with battery free 3D glasses and also supports 2D -> 3D conversion.

“Smart Share” allows you to easily browse, share and stream files from laptops, smartphones, tablets and external hard drives very easily over the built in WiFi and DNLA support.

It also has a Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) and Intel’s Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. NHL allows users to display photos, play games and change their smartphones over the NHL connection. WiDi can be used to screen share with laptops and tablets ove3r a wireless connection.

The LG TM2792 also comes with the LG Magic Remote control which is motion and wheel controlled, and allows for easy navigation of the Smart hub and Internet browser.

The Personal Smart TV will be available in September, for a cur5rently unknown price. But we’re sure we’ll find out later this week when IFA is in full swing.
