Nintendo TVii: Future Home Entertainment Hub?

Nintendo have just announced the new Wii U console, and the announcement’s biggest surprise was the Nintendo TVii feature.

The Nintendo Wii was know for grabbing the attention of kids, while the Wii U’s TVii feature looks set to grab the attention of a lot of home theater enthusiast.

The Nintendo Wii and it’s TVii feature are coming our way this November with a starting price of $300.

Nintendo have taken what we have seen previously from other companies and taken it to the next level. Rather than simply just integrating video streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, Amazon Instant etc into the Wii U / TVii, Nintendo have gone a whole lot further, making it cross platform and tying together all available sources.

It can also be used as a universal remote control, and be used to fully control your DVR.

Relevant second screen information is also displayed on the GamePad, such as team line ups, game statistics, film information and much more. It also brings watching TV social.
