Sky 3D Launching 1st October + Lineup Announced

The coming of Sky 3D hasn’t exactly been a secret, but the finder detailed have until now, been mostly unknown.

But today an email from sky came my way revealing the Sky 3D Channel lineup and release date.

The Sky 3D channel will finally go live this Friday, 1st of October. Sky say that channel is available at no extra cost to all Sky+HD customers with a 3DTV, and Sky’s top TV package. (all six entertainment packs, Sky Sports pack, Sky Movies Pack and the HD pack). They didn’t say how much it would cost if you didn’t have the “top tv package”, if at all.

The Sky 3D channel will bring 3D sports, movies, entertainment, arts, and documentary programmes, with an average of three live sports events each week.

3D sports coverage includes: Live Barclays Premier League, Rugby Union’s Autumn Internationals,The World heavyweight title fight and international football. There is also a whole host of 3D movies and documentaries.
