Panasonic 103-inch 4K Glasses-Free 3D HDTV

Taking a look at the title used here, “Panasonic 103-inch 4K Glasses-Free 3D”, I’m not sure what’s the most impressive part, the 103-Inches, the 4K resolution, or the Glasses free 3D part. I’m personally most excited about the glasses free part, and believe it’s where 3D is eventually heading too.

At IFA 2012 Panasonic was busy showing off their new models, with most of the focus on two products, their massive 145-Inch 8K TV which we have previously covered, and their almost as massive 103-Inch Glasses free 3D 4K TV detailed here.

The 103-Inch plasma beast is still very much in prototype stage and doesn’t have a model name, or price tag (not that you would probably want to know it anyway!).

The TV is claimed to be the worlds largest glasses-free 3D display. It makes use of a 4K 3840 x 2160 pixel plasma display.

Apparently the 3D view works for up to five different viewers, they just have to be in the right position (visual sweet spot as such). The 3D effect is said to be subtle, and natural but the colors are a little less dull. But it’s important to remember that this is very much a prototype, and a quick glimpse into the future of 3D viewing.
