Panasonic VT50 Series – TC-P65VT50 & TC-P55VT50

Panasonic is staying true and confident to the Plasma HDTV market and have recently announced 17 new Viera Plasma HDTV across six product lines in their Panasonic 2012 Plasma HDTV lineup.

Sitting right at the top of these six series is the flagship Panasonic VT50 series which consists of the very large 65-inch Panasonic TC-P65VT50, and the Panasonic TC-P55VT50.

Both the TC-P65VT50 and the TC-P55VT50 are 3D TVs with a full HD 1080p resolution, which what Panasonic claim to have a “revolutionary level of picture quality”. Making use of their new Infinite Black Ultra Panel / NeoPlasma Black 2500 technology, the deep blacks are deeper thanks to a new pre-discharge technology.

Both of the Panasonic TV50 models also support 3D and 2D to 3D conversion along with THX certification. Home theater enthusiast will be happy as they will be able to tweak the picture quality to their delight. There is an ISFccc Calibration mode, and the calibrators adjust the picture with calibration software (CALMAN) provided by SpectraCal.

Both the 65-inch Panasonic TCP65VT50 and the 55-inch Panasonic TCP55VT50 are also smart TVs and come packed with features such as Viera Connect with web browser, built in WiFi, and support for using social networking sites while simultaneously watching TV and a multitasking feature to switch between apps. They also feature Bluetooth, a media viewer, 3D real sound with 8-Train speakers and come with a special Panasonic VIERA Touch Pad Controller.

Evolving from last years VT30 series the new TV50 series also features the one sheet of glass design with a flat obstruction free design resulting in a HDTV which looks equally as good off as it does on.

  1. Okay, firstly I own the vt30, great tv but what on earth is there no independent web browser. They dropped the ball on that one. And still consumers they can implement that tech in the vt30 with an update but they won’t. Because they want u to buy their vt50. Also ppl stop complaining bout the Samsung bezel looks better troll crap. Now Panasonic are looking like them. Stupid right. I bought an Samsung d 8000 strictly b/c it had an web browser. Deeper blacks how black do you want it. Also, consumers please be smart if the developer doesn’t utilize these new ideas in the movies games etc . It will not show . Your wasting your Money. The vt30 is good the vt50 is just an upgrade. Unnecessary upgrade. Thanks be wise.
