Samsung’s OLED HDTV Comming Q2 2012

Both Samsung and LG announced 55-inch OLED HDTVs back in January at CES 2012. These two large scale OLED HDTVS were undoubtedly the stars of the show.

Since the show we have heard that LG have pushed forwards their release of their OLED due to pressure from Samsung and wanted to get their model out on the market first, and have reportedly moved the release date forwards to May 2012.

But since CES we haven’t heard anything from Samsung regarding their 55-inch OLED HDTV, until now.

At a recent Samsung press conference in Croatia, Michael Zoelle, European Marketing Director said “We will launch a large-size OLED TV in the second quarter of 2012 at the earliest”. He also said, “We will disclose prices, specs and product line (at IFA 2012), also, we will exhibit TVs with totally-new designs and concepts as well as totally-new premium TVs.”
