Choose The Size of Your HDTV Using Augmented Reality

Sony have just released a very useful new feature to their website which aids users in the difficult task of choosing the correct size TV for the desired location.

We all know how difficult it can be to mentally picture how it will look when it is there, and whether it will look too big, for the space.

With Sony’s new Augmented Reality web page you can now see exactly how the HDTV will look when it’s in place. And easily change the size of the HDTV and style with a single click.

All you have to do is print out a special marker, put the marker where you want the TV to go. Then take a photo of the marker in position, and upload it to Sony’s Augmented Reality TV size guide page. You will then be able to see exactly how the HDTV will look when in place, and change the size of the HDTV with a single click. You can also save these Augmented Reality photos to compare against each other.

It sure beats the guess work, or other extremes like cutting out 40-inch sized cardboard rectangles!
