Sony have completely redesigned their HDTV / UHDTV lineup for 2013 with all new models.

Sony’s 2013 HDTV lineup is still fairly condensed into just six series, but their range covers the market very well. While Sony was proudly showing off their prototype 4K OLED TV and their new smaller 4K Ultra HD TV’s from the X900, you’ll be pleased to know that they also released a number of “standard” 1080p HDTVs from their other series which will be outline below.

We spent this past week at CES 2013 where we visited Sony’s huge and very impressive 2013 booth.

We were lucky enough to be given a personal tour around their booth where we filmed everything for our readers, and we’re pleased to bring our video to you.

Sony were left out of the OLED fun at last years CES, but they responded with a bang, and unveiled their prototype 4K OLED TV. Combining both the 4K / Ultra HD resolution with the latest OLED screen technology to deliver a very very impressive image.

Sony have just achieved what I, and many people are currently considering the “Holy grail” of TVs.

Right now the two emerging technologies in TV image quality are, 4K Ultra HD resolution of four times that of 1080p HD, and OLED display technology which offers perfect contrast ratios and amazing picture quality.

While Samsung and LG showed off their over 55-Inch OLED TVs at CES 2012 last year and stole the show, Sony was left out of the party.

But now at CES 2013 Sony has stolen that party hat and have taken things to the next level. They have just shown off their first larger screen, 56-Inch OLED TV, which boasts a 4K Ultra HD resolution! This makes it the world’s first, and largest 56-Inch 4K OLED TV.

Have a spare $25,000 in your pocket for the Sony 84-Inch 4k Ultra HD TV, but you’re holding off buying due to the lack of 4K / Ultra HD content?!

Well Sony is certainly hoping that such people do exist out there.

The lack of freely available 4K content is certainly of a concern to most buyers, after all, having spent a bucket or two on a beautiful cutting edge Ultra HD TV you’re going to want to show it off at its very best!

Sony are now including ten 4K Ultra HD movies free with the Sony XBR-84X900 (known as the Sony KD-84X9005 in Europe) via a free loaned 4K Ultra HD Video Player.

The Sony 84X900 is much more than simply a huge HDTV at 84-Inches, in fact it’s not even a HDTV, it’s a 4K TV or also know as an Ultra HD TV. This really is what makes the XBR-84X900 stand out from the other huge TVs out there. It has a resolution of 4x that of standard Full HDTVs, with 8 million pixels, 3,840 x 2,160.

Do you remember the Sony HMZ-T1 from last year? The futuristic personal viewer was announced with big fan fare at highend London retailer in London.

Sony have now reworked this device and have announced the Sony HMZ-T2 Personal 3D Viewer at IFA 2012.

They didn’t draw as much attention to it this time around, and were directing most of people’s attention to their new 84-Inch 4K monster and new flagship HX950 HDTVs.

The new Sony HMZ-T2 looks quite similar to last years model, but it is lighter and more comfortable than the previous model.

The new 2012 flagship XBR-HX950 series HDTVs, the 55-Inch Sony XBR-55HX950, and 65-Inch Sony XBR-55HX950 are now official in the U.S and already available to purchase at the official Sony store.

While Sony announced a whole new 2012 lineup at CES 2012 at the start of the year, they didn’t announce a new top of the range flagship model. Until now that is.

Last week at IFA 2012 in Berlin, they announced the European flagship models, and we knew it was only a matter of time before these were announced for the U.S market.

Remember that 84-Inch 4K 3D TV that Sony announced just last week over in Berlin at IFA 2012? Of course you do, who could forget that beautiful beast of a TV!

Well just today Sony have refreshed their Sony Store website and said beast is now available as the Sony XBR–84X900 for a whooping $25,000!

It appears that you can’t purchase the 84-Inch 4K 3D TV online, but you can pick one up from one of eight Sony Stores around the U.S. Well, maybe “pick up” is the wrong word considering the Sony XBR84X900 weighs just under 180lbs! There are stores in California, two in New York and one in Houston Texas.

Sony is on a roll today, having just announced their flagship HX950 series to the world, they have now just announced the massive Sony 84X900 84-Inch 4K 3D HDTV at IFA 2012.

IFA 2012 is the second most important event after CES when it comes to the HDTV market, as it’s when the leading HDTV manufacturers announce their latest models to the market.

Known as the Sony XBR-84X900 in the U.S and simply as the Sony 84X900 in Europe (or even Sony KD-84X9005 in the U.K), the 84-Inch monster will be available by the end of the year. Currently no prices have been announced.

We have been hearing some rumors of a new 2012 flagship HDTV coming our way for quite some time now. It was pretty much a given considering that as of right now, their currently available flagship model is a model from 2011.

The Sony HX950 series has just been unveiled over in Japan, and also announced for a European release in the next couple of months. No word on the US release just yet, but we’re also hearing rumors that is will be known as the Sony HX959 series in the US.

As the Sony HX950 / HX959 series is their latest and greatest model you can be sure it’s feature packed with very high specifications and technology.

One such technology is their “Intelligent Peak LED” backlighting.
