Sony XBR-84X900 84-Inch 4K TV Hands On Video

Here at HDTV News we’re very proud to bring you our hands on of the very impressive and cutting edge Sony XBR-84X900 84-Inch 4K TV!

The Sony 84X900 is much more than simply a huge HDTV at 84-Inches, in fact it’s not even a HDTV, it’s a 4K TV or also know as an Ultra HD TV. This really is what makes the XBR-84X900 stand out from the other huge TVs out there. It has a resolution of 4x that of standard Full HDTVs, with 8 million pixels, 3,840 x 2,160.

The hands on video we have here is introduced by our beautiful Stacey and demonstrated by store manager Keith, from the Fashion Valley Stony store located in San Diego, California.

The fashion valley store is currently one of only ten locations in the U.S where you can do and check out the Sony XBR-84X900 for yourself.

In the hands on video we cover the design and specifications of the Sony XBR-84X900, along with the many advantages of the 4K 8 megapixel resolution which are clearly visible.

We also have a great, and rather entertaining demonstration of the Sony SimulView technology, which together with the PS3 enables two players to see the TV in full screen independently, rather than having to share the screen. This is achieved though the passive 3D technology in the 84X900, and special player one, and player two glasses.

As well as being able to up-convert Full HD and other content to 4K, enabling you to get the best out of your existing blu-ray content, it also importantly does accept native 4K input on two of its four HDMI inputs.

We can away from the whole experience very impressed. The build quality and design is very good, along with impressive sound performance, and of course amazing visuals provided by the 4K display! But don’t let us tell you, go checkout the video and decide yourself!

This advanced 4K TV doesn’t come cheap though, at $24,999. But it is currently well ahead of the game. It’s known as the Sony KD-84X9005 in Europe.
