Vizio To Launch 4K TVs In 2014

We have heard talks of Vizio entering in to the 4K Ultra HD market for some time now, but as of yet have yet to see any real products announced.

DigiTimes have just leaked out some information which gives us an expected time-line for their 4K TVs. They say that Vizio will release their range of 4K TVs in the first quarter of 2014.

They’re expected to be above 50-inches, with their 65-inch panel expected to be sourced from AU Optronics.

We’re also hearing talk of an 84-inch model which should be coming our way by the end of this year (2013). This 84-inch panel will be supplied from LG Display. The same panel used in LG’s and Sony’s 84-inch 4K TV. Foxconn Electronics is also expected to be supplying panels to Vizio.

VIZIO M-Series Razor LED (M471i, M501d, M601d) Available

VIZIO have just announced pricing and availability on their latest M-Series Razor “All LED” Smart TV’s which provide consumers with “Edge-to-Edge Perfection”.

When Vizio say “Edge-to-Edge Perfection” they’re talking about their latest designs featuring edge to edge displays with an ultra thin bezel. Looking at the press photos provided the bezel most certianly does look very slim indeed.

Vizio say that the latest M-Series Razor LED Smart TVs have an ultra modern, ultra thin design for today’s modern family, and will give rooms an “instant designer home makeover”. While I’m not sure it will change the appearence of your whole room, it will certianly provide your room with an attractive focal point.

VIZIO S4251W 5.1 Soundbar Now Available

VIZIO have announced that their 42-inch 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer and Satellite speakers, the VIZIO S4251W is now available, for $329.99.

Soundbars have really exploded with popularity over the last year or so, as people realize that they have a beautiful HDTV, but the sound just really isn’t that great.

Adding a soundbar is the easiest way to upgrade the sound of your home theater set up. But with the VIZIO S4251W, Vizio have taken a slightly different approach, because the VIZIO S4251W isn’t just a standard soundbar which normally consists of two or three speakers, it’s a full on 5.1 surround system.

Vizio M & E Series Add New Models

Vizio have been busy behind the scenes and have recently announced five new large sized HDTVs for the holiday season in two series.

Vizio started off their press release with the proud announcement that they have recently received J.D. Power and Associates’ “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with HDTVs” ranking. A boost to perspective buyers, who maybe haven’t purchased a Vizio HDTV before.

All five of the new Vizio HDTVs run from 55-Inches all the way up to a massive 70-inches, but keep the prices low starting at just $949, going to to $1,999 for the 70-inch model. They are also all “Smart TVs” with app support and come with the popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and Amazon instant video. YouTube, Twitter and Pandora also come pre-loaded.

The five new models can be split into two series. the Vizio E series and the Vizio M series.

Vizio Co-Star Streaming Going For $99

2012 has been the year for Smart TVs. If you have found yourself looking at these HDTV with envy? Wishing your HDTV had these features, you’re in luck.

Rather than going out and buying a fancy new Smart TV to gain this function, thanks to Vizio, you now just have to spend $99.99 on the Vizio Co-Star streamer.

The Vizio Co-Star is a small hockey puck sized device which connects to any HDTV via the HDMI port to bring smart TV functions to your HDTV. Vizio calls it “The ultimate upgrade for any TV”, and I think I have to agree with them given the price and advanced features.

Vizio XVT3D580CM 21:9 CinemaWide Now Shipping!

If you can remember way back to early February you will remember that Vizio announced quite a unique HDTV with their 58-Inch CinemaWide 21:9 3D LED HDTV.

The CinemaWide HDTV has an aspect ratio of 21:9, which matches the aspect ratio of that used in the cinema and on DVD / Blu-ray movies, rather than the current standard 16:9 aspect.

This means that when you watch a movie on the Vizio CinemaWide 21:9 HDTV the film will fill the screen rather than having empty black bars at the top and bottom on the display.

Vizio XCV100 Skype Video Conferencing App Available

Vizio and Skype have just officially announced the availability of their Skype app for the range of Vizio Internet App HDTV.

Back in January this year, Vizio announced their latest lineup of HDTVs and latest products. Nestled in one of the press releases was mention of the Vizio XCV100 webcam. This $150 webcam add on simply plugs into the back of “most” app enabled Vizio HDTVs and allows for free skype to skype video calls.

The Vizio XCV100 clips onto the top of the HDTV, and provides 720p HD video calls. It also features four microphones for superior audio quality which can be used up to 16ft away.

It’s not often that you see a truly game changing HDTV come along, but with the new Vizio XVT 3D 21:9 Cinemawide Smart HDTV, Vizio are delivering exactly that.

The numbers of key important in the Vizio XVT3D580CM 21:9 Cinemawide HDTV is the “21:9” which refers to the aspect ratio. TVs evolved from square looking 4:3 aspect ratio to “widescreen” 16:9 TVs, but it’s aspect ratio was still not as wide as true Cinema widescreen which has a 21:9 aspect ratio, so this meant watching movies on your widescreen HDTV still left boring black bars at the top and bottom.

Vizio Show off New HDTV From CES 2012

Our recent news has been full of mostly LG and some Samsung news, as companies start to try and grab our attention with their latest products for CES 2012.

Samsung recently released a little teaser video of their upcoming HDTVs, and it looks like Vizio has followed suit with their very own little spot.

Vizio aired a 30 second commercial during the Rose Bowl where they talk about the evolution of products, and just before the end of the slot, they showed a very nice sleek looking HDTV. It almost looks like a large tablet on a chrome looking mount. Nevertheless it looks very nice indeed.

Vizio M Series 3D HDTV Now Available (M3D420SR, M3D460SR, M3D550SR)

Way back at the start of the year, Vizio announced a whole bunch of new HDTVs at CES 2011. Now finally 11 months later Vizio has announced that their Vizio M-Series of 3D HDTVs are now available and shipping out to excited customers.

The Vizio M-Series’ release has been announced just one day after the series won the “2011 Best of What’s New Award” for Theater 3D Technology in the December 2011 issue of Popular Science magazine.
