If you can remember way back to early February you will remember that Vizio announced quite a unique HDTV with their 58-Inch CinemaWide 21:9 3D LED HDTV.
The CinemaWide HDTV has an aspect ratio of 21:9, which matches the aspect ratio of that used in the cinema and on DVD / Blu-ray movies, rather than the current standard 16:9 aspect.
This means that when you watch a movie on the Vizio CinemaWide 21:9 HDTV the film will fill the screen rather than having empty black bars at the top and bottom on the display.
When the 58-Inch model (Vizio XVT3D580CM) was announced it was expected to be available in March for $3,500. This date has come and gone, but as of today, the HDTV is officially available and shipping out to excited customers. What’s even better news, is that it is available with free shipping and for a special reduced priced of just $2,499.99! (Until July 9th.)
Its full price has been set at $2,799.99, which is still a fair bit cheaper than it’s original $3.5k estimate.
There is also talk of a 50-inch and 70-inch model coming our way in the future, but no word of prices or dates just yet.
But if the 58-inch model takes your fancy, head over to the official Vizio page to get the special price!
